Flux: The Experimental Weave Lab exhibition is a culmination of a six month woven textile season of residencies, talks, open lab days, research and outreach work.
Curated by Elizabeth Ashdown and Philippa Brock, The Experimental Weave Lab supported a series of long and short term artist and designer residencies.
12 innovative weavers have experimented, created a weave community, developed new working processes and new works. The season encouraged the residents to push boundaries within their own practice and provided a space for this to happen.
The works on show include live weaving, prototypes, sketchbooks, on going practice and finished artworks. Also on show will be the woven work created by two interns working for Reweave and Rebecca Hoyes, alongside outreach work created at The Brady Centre.
